Fabric Samples

This painting was commissioned by the owner of our local art supply store, Annette. Her Mother-in-Law is a quilter and has quite a collection of fabrics. One day, Annette snuck into her Mother-in-Law’s fabric collection, arranged these pieces, took some photos, and posted one of her photos on Facebook. I saw the photo and said, "I want to paint that!" So I did. Watercolour has a special place in her heart, as it was her catalyst into the art supply world. Now, she has a special work of art that captures her love of watercolour and a piece of her Mother-in-Law's identity as a quilter!
