Frequently Asked Questions
Where do you sign your work?
Each painting is signed on the back of the painting and with an embossed signature on the front. The subtlety of the embossed watermark identifies the originality of each piece and maintains a focus on the artwork itself rather than the signature.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. Payment plans are a great option to acquire original artwork within a set budget. We can create a schedule so you can purchase your artwork over a period of 3-6 months. There is an additional 10% fee for this service. Payments are non-refundable.
How do I care for my artwork?
To ensure the life of an original artwork on paper or print reproduction, be certain to mat and frame the artwork using acid-free materials. Watercolours and prints should be framed under glass or acrylic to prevent moisture, dust, and accidental damage to the painting. Keep artwork out of direct sunlight. Dust regularly and when cleaning the glass or acrylic, spray a gentle cleaner on a soft cloth first and then wipe the surface gently.
What is your return policy?
All sales are final. Prints and framing are made to order and I try not to have inventory sitting in stock. Although I’d love for you to be happy with your purchase, I understand that circumstances arise, and I will work with you to find the best solution.
Shipping?
Right now, I can ship within Canada and the United States. Shipping prices vary with size and location. After you check out, I will send you a quote for the shipping price. Upon approval, I will invoice you for the shipping cost. If you have any questions please contact me.
What is a Giclee?
A giclee is a technology for fine art reproduction using a high-quality inkjet printer to make individual copies. Original paintings have been professionally photographed to ensure reproduction accuracy is high quality and as close to the original as possible. All of my giclee reproduction prints are printed on acid free, heavy weight, subtly textured, fine art paper. Please note that there may be slight cropping from the edges of the original image to fit certain sizes.
Ownership of Artwork: If I buy an original painting, do you make prints of it?
Yes. I retain all rights to all artwork I create, including the image of sold and commissioned original paintings. This means that I retain the right to reproduce any artwork in any form unless the collector has purchased the full or partial rights to the artwork (in addition to purchasing the original). To discuss purchasing the rights, contact me.
People who are interested in using the artwork or image for any reason need to request written permission from me.
The collector or buyer may not reproduce the artwork in any way without written permission. If the artwork ends up being reproduced in a magazine or other media I only ask for credit. When you purchase an original painting you, the collector, have the right to display the artwork in your home or business but the artwork may not be resold or reproduced without my written permission.
