Commissioned paintings are often collaborative. For this one, I was asked to paint from a photo reference that wasn’t mine. The client had a photo they wanted transformed into a large size original artwork. I jumped at the chance because this scene is something I had been longing to create for years. I love paintings that have mystery and leave room for interpretation.
