Up Close and Personal

This was commissioned by a woman who liked my work but didn’t know what she wanted me to paint for her. She knew this was going to be a feature piece in her living room and wanted to add colour to the space. So after a lot of discussion and ideas bounced around, we settled on this image. It was chosen from my collection of photo references. She asked me to add a little ladybug and dragonfly to represent her Mother and Mother in law.
