Inspiration: As my young daughter often expresses her love of rainbows, I created this painting which connects our mutual love of colour with her childhood innocence, symbolized in the purity of rainbows.
This painting also commemorates past generations who created and passed down the quilts with the new generations who use the quilts.
Quality: Original paintings are meant to last longer than a lifetime, so I invest in high quality materials. I use top of the line professional grade paint and paper. Beyond that, I have researched the colours of my palette to ensure that they are lightfast and permanent, making longevity a priority. Each painting is signed on the back of the painting and with an embossed signature on the front. The subtlety of the embossed watermark identifies the originality of each piece and maintains a focus on the artwork itself rather than the signature.
Frame: Framing is required. You can choose to purchase a custom frame by clicking the Add Custom Frame button. A custom frame protects the painting under anti-reflective glass which means you won’t see any distracting reflections. Also, alongside the permanent paints I use, the UV protective coating on the glass acts as double protection from fading due to exposure to sunlight. This painting would be float mounted on a white mat background with a classic white or black frame for a timeless appeal.
